Fabulous French culture in Le Touquet
For a culturally crammed break in northern France, Le Touquet's museum is bound to satisfy many tourists.

Built in 1925, the gallery displays various paintings by artists from the Etaples school of art -which ran between 1880 and 1914 - and features works by the likes of Henri Le Sidaner, Sarah Bernhardt and Iso Rae.

However, there is also a portion of the gallery dedicated to modern art.

Visitors can also take in some 100 photographs from Parisian art editor Edouard Champion, which features shots of a variety of celebrities, taken between 1880 and 1938.

There are also a host of temporary exhibitions running which are sure to provide something new for visitors to the attraction at any time of year

Meanwhile, those holidaying on a slightly tight budget may be glad to know that the museum is free to enter on the first Sunday of every month.

Those wishing to sample the delights of French culture should also stop off at the Museum of Fine Art and Lace based in Calais.
