Go all night long in Paris

Go all night long in Paris
If you're finding it hard to sleep don't warm some milk or read a book, head to Paris for the annual nuit blanche, or white night celebrations.

Nuit blanche is a nocturnal celebration of the city's cultural gems organised by the mayor and now in its fourth year.

There are about 120 attractions throughout Paris to keep you entertained until the small hours at museums, libraries, monuments, places of worship, tourist sites, cinemas, parks and gardens, hospitals, swimming pools and universities.

With more than half a million Parisians and tourists thronging the streets it isn't just culture that's on the agenda with partying often breaking out at random points too.

For those that can keep awake local councils and traders even put on breakfast in the morning.

This year nuit blanche takes place on the night of October 7th.
