Bristol's brilliant museum
Open seven days a week and most bank holidays, stopping at the splendid Edwardian building features a wide variety of art could not be easier for tourists.
Among the upstairs galleries, visitors will be able to view pieces from the old masters as well as modern art displays, before taking in silverware and ceramic exhibitions.
Meanwhile, a wander through the lower floors uncovers fossil and mineral collections in addition to the World Wildlife Gallery which features examples of extinct or endangered species.
However, with temporary exhibitions taking place, a visit to Bristol's City Museum and Art Gallery will uncover something new on a visit during anytime of the year - and with it being one of the few museums in the country to be awarded designated status by the government, you can be certain that this attraction is a winner.
That said, a trip to Bristol should not end here as there are a wide range of things to see and get involved in, such as the SS Great Britain ship and Berkeley Castle - the oldest inhabited castle in England.
