Cultures come together with Liverpool festival
Although it is miles across the Irish Sea, those wanting a taste of Ireland while on a trip in England need look no further than the annual Liverpool Irish festival.

Taking place every October, the event sees revellers take part in the celebration of all things Irish while their feet are firmly planted on English soil.

And with various concerts, plays, poetry performances and readings, tourists are almost certain to find something which is for them.

In addition, there are a number of art exhibitions, lectures and education projects.

Meanwhile, with locations for events including the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and the World Museum, there is also the opportunity to become familiar with this breathtaking city.

Of course this is not the only fantastic event taking place in Liverpool as July's Brouhaha International Festival sees a three-week extravaganza of arts and cultural events.

Those looking to take a slightly less active break, meanwhile, may wish to stop by the Tate Liverpool gallery.
