Fast, fun, furious and French

Fast, fun, furious and French
If you're planning a family holiday to France in the near future why not get in on the fun and join the locals of Seloncourt for the annual "voiture-a-pedale" championship?

Yes, that's the pedal car championships for those lacking in French skills.

This isn't any go-cart championship however; the event lasts for two to three hours and incorporates all the basic rules of Grand Prix as practiced by the likes of Schumacher and Button.

The budgets though cannot be compared. The cars racing round the streets of Seloncourt for the event are all locally made from a wide range of materials and recycled bits-and-bobs.

What the cars are made of is important both for speed but also for looks as the winning team is not the one that simply finishes first but that which also manages to please the aesthetic eye of the panel of judges.

The drivers garb is also judged so expect to see gorillas, fairies, dogs and kings racing around the town.

A treat for the whole family, the fun takes place on September 11th.
