Urbis makes unique day out
Based in the heart of the city centre, visiting the urban museum could not be easier as it is located near various transport facilities including Victoria train station.
With four floors worth of displays, the building celebrates city living and culture, focusing on areas such as design, photography, music and architecture.
After taking in the various exhibits, tourists can stop at the Social cafe for a bite to eat before heading to the gift shop for a souvenir.
Meanwhile, a series of one-off events, talks and concerts taking place throughout the year are sure to make a trip to Urbis fresh and exciting for visitors at any time.
And with the museum winning the large attraction prize at this year's Manchester Tourism Award ceremony, all visitors to Urbis are bound to have a fun experience.
However, culture vultures wishing for a more traditional art experience can visit some of Manchester's many other attractions such as the John Rylands library and the Whitworth Art gallery.
