Literature-lovers set to feast in France
This weekend will see the event many a bookworm from around Europe and elsewhere has been looking forward to, as Paris is set to host its annual celebration of all things literary during the two day Lire en fete (reading festival).

Running from Friday October 13th through until October 15th, the festival will once again showcase new titles and new faces in the book industry.

Knowledgeable players from the literary world will be conducting lectures on a variety of subjects to audiences in coffee shops, theatres and even prisons and hospitals around the city.

The first Lire en fete took place in 1989 and the event has grown in popularity ever since, as organisers look to share their love of reading with France and with the world.

Renowned for its neo-classical architecture, multitude of museums and of course, the Eiffel Tower, Paris sits on the banks of the river Seine and attracts some 30 million visitors each year.
