Amsterdam's amazing arts festival
Reported to be the largest artistic festival in the European country, the annual event is sure to feature something for people of all tastes as opera, film, music, documentaries and theatre are just some of the types of performance on display.
Taking place in venues across the Dutch capital including Stadsschouwburg - the city theatre - organisers aim for the festival to be a link between small and large-scale performances as it looks to showcase the most innovative and original performers.
Meanwhile, visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops and lectures prior to performances and exhibitions so as to get a fuller flavour of the thoughts behind the art.
However, with some 65,000 people visiting last year's event, those wanting to be a part of the Holland festival could be well advised to book in advance.
