Vienna International Dance Festival

Budding dancing kings and queens could well be advised to take a trip to Vienna this summer.
Every July, the Austrian capital hosts International Dance Festival the ImPulsTanz - a month-long showcase of various genres of movement such as ballet, jazz and hip-hop.
Visitors will be able to watch a variety of performances in venues across the city such as the Schauspielhaus and Burgtheater
There will also be more than150 workshops allowing enthusiasts of all abilities and styles to improve their techniques, in addition to fitness training and yoga classes.
A particular focus of the event is Dance Quarter Vienna, which centres on contemporary dance and performance. Based near the Imperial Palace, the facility incorporates a 300-seat capacity hall body and the Tanzquartier Vienna Studios.
In addition there is also a public information centre which features a library and internet access.
But with organisers claiming the event attracts some 30,000 visitors every year, those wanting to catch one of the many performances on show could be advised to book well in advance.
