Writer's Festival, Prague

Pen mightier than the sword at Prague festival.

Thousands of literature lovers are set to go to Prague next June for the Czech capital's annual Writer's Festival.

Every year, writers in both Czech and English come to the city's Theatre Minor to showcase their latest works over a four-day period.

All areas of the industry are set to be represented at the festival - from journalism and poetry to publishing and novels.

There will also be book signings, award ceremonies, lectures and films.

However, those who are unable to go to the festival in person can watch highlights of it on the internet.

Those at last year's festival included Czech writers Hana Andronikova and Jaroslav Holoubek, as well as international authors Gary Younge and Jorge Semprun.
