Rome jazzes it up
Rome will play host to a flurry of wholesome grooves when its celebrated jazz festival, entitled Metasax, hits a selection of its fine musical venues later this year.

What's on When reports that an array of international artists will entertain the crowds at the Celimontana, the Auditorium Parco della Musica and the Casa del Jazz.

Taking place from November 4th - 14th, artists set to appear include the Lee Konitz Nonet, the Maceo Parker Band and the Joshua Redman Trio.

The event now takes place twice a year and regularly attracts the world's best jazz talent as audiences descend on Rome's music venues.

Jazz fans can also entertain themselves during the day with the selection of monthly markets that come to the Italian capital.

The Paradiso delle Signore (Ladies' Paradise) is a fashion market specialising in jewellery, furniture, clothes and other accessories, held on the first Sunday of the month at the Parco dei Principi hotel.

Another highlight is the La Soffitta Sotto i Portici, which is a monthly bargain fair that takes place every first and third Sunday of the month in Piazza Augusto Imperatore.
