Shiver yer timbers at the Southampton Boat show
For ten days in September, 15th to 24th, Southampton’s Mayflower Park will be transformed into a fun filled Treasure Island, complete with colourful tall ships, live interactive pirate shows, live music and a fantastic sandy beach.
The show is being opened today by trans-Atlantic rower and television star Ben Fogle who will be joined by yachtswoman Dee Caffari.
In addition to the wonderful array of boats on show, attractions such as the pirate jetty stage will keep kids entertained for hours with a fun-packed schedule of live entertainment including interactive theatrical performances, impressive stilt walkers, dancing and music.
For parents activities such as boat 'test drives' boat racing and diving will ensure that it is a family day out that entertains young and old alike.
