Shop till you drop at Lille's festive markets
Starting every November, the French city hosts its Christmas market where visitors will be able to purchase presents from numerous arts and crafts stalls, in addition to sampling a variety of local cuisine.
Held in the Place Rihour in the centre of the city, tourists should have no difficulty finding the market, as there is also entertainment for young children in games and theatrical performances.
There will also be numerous appearances by Father Christmas.
Meanwhile, as the city is located in the north of the country it could not be easier to hop on a ferry to France for a spot of shopping.
And with the markets staying open right up until Christmas Eve, even the most last-minute shoppers should be able to pick up something for their loved ones.
Other fantastic events in Lille include the Festival des 10 Vagues.
