Tower of London Tour
Tower of London offers tourism treats.
Situated right in the heart of the city, the Tower of London can surely not be missed on any self-respecting tourist's visit to the British capital.
Despite its name, the tower is actually a series of buildings set within two walls and a moat.
One must-see within the complex, however, is the White Tower which is home to Henry VIII's armour and the 11th century Chapel of St John the Evangelist.
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in a Yeoman Warders tour.
More commonly known as 'Beefeaters', the colourfully-dressed veteran soldiers guide tourists around the tower and will also share their personal accounts of overseas conflict.
However, those looking for a more active experience can watch the daily historical re-enactments which take place on the south lawn.
The tower is also home to the Crown Jewels, which form one of the most famous - and most valuable - symbols of the British monarchy and feature some 23,578 precious stones.
And as it is open seven days a week, a trip to the tower could surely not be any easier to make.
